Birthing Intuition

Vibrational medicine refers to an awareness of the inherent wisdom of the pulse of life and how it manifests in the body, mind and spirit of an individual. In vibrational medicine, practitioners attune themselves to a client and may utilize a variety of modalities to engage the innate healing potential in that individual.

The modalities relate to all the senses: touch, taste, sound, sight, smell and intuition. During pregnancy many women experience heightened sensitivity in these realms. Because pregnant women are more permeable to their environment, they can be more receptive to subtler methods of healing. While we appreciate the sensitivity of pregnant women, all people can benefit from vibrational healing. Birthing Intuition integrates a variety of gentle yet profound vibrational modalities to support preconception, pregnant women and their partners.

Meditation

Meditation is when we access altered states of consciousness and deep relaxation by quieting the mind. Some meditative practices involve breath, stillness, visualization, sound vibration, creativity, touch and body movement.

Guided Visualization

Visualization is a form of meditation. We close our eyes and notice how our imagery reveals inner landscapes, develops intuition and shows us new ways to view personal material, relationships and decisions. During Preconception Support Circles and Holistic Childbirth Preparation, facilitators offer guided visualization to introduce the process of visualization. While listening to a facilitator, participants practice grounding, relaxing, following the breath and allowing imagery to unfold öall useful tools for conception and childbirth.

Art and Creativity

The creative process engages our senses, invites us into the realm of symbol and metaphor and gives us a way to transmute symbol into form through art making. By doing so, we can access and integrate aspects of ourselves that might not be available to us through a more cognitive approach. We explore this realm through a variety of mediums in such as ceramics, collage making, journaling, dream weaving, and more.

Energetic Bodywork

While participants are in a relaxed state through meditation, deep breathing, and guided visualization, they receive support. Facilitators follow their intuition and utilize knowledge informed by years of training in different modalities. Some of the techniques involved are sound, flower remedies, herbs, and gentle touch.
